If you know lifting weight and distance, How to calculate how much tonnage of truck crane to select?

Truck crane theory tonnage multiplied by 3, then divided by the weight of the crane can be concluded that distance and weight divided by the distance can be made,
but the practical capacity of the crane short of calculated results, but also take the main arm and hook weight into the consideration.
For example,
The weight of the hoisting object is 11t. The center of the pipe that is installed in the hoisting time is 8m. What type of truck crane needs to be selected is as follows:
The maximum lifting tonnage of
A, The Max. lifting tonnage of 25t truck crane
25 t * 3 = 75
75/8 = 9.375 t
9.35 t * 75% = 7.03 t
Using 25t truck crane, the working range is 8m and the maximum lifting tonnage is 7t.
The piping weight of DN250 is calculated, the wall thickness of the pipeline is 12mm, and the length of each section is 11mm.The weight of each pipe is 0.849 T.
25t crane: 7.03t > 0.849 t;
So choose 25t crane to complete the pipe lifting work.
